Cleanstream Carpets is not currently using any verified external system to audit our social and environmental impact, we know that since we have been based in Porth, on our own site, from July 2010 we have achieved the following outcomes:
Social Outcomes
1. Provided employment to six placements to long-term unemployed 18 - 25 year olds via the Future Job Fund
2. Provided work placements to 15 new deal long term unemployed people
3. Created three new jobs at our site
4. Provided currently one work placement to Coleg Morgannwg
5. Provided access to NVQ level two training for two JF placements
6. Provided access to NVQ level three training for taken on FJF placement
6. Accessed 10 external training courses
Environmental Outcomes
2010
1. Diverted 79,333 carpet tiles/ 99 tonnes of carpet waste from landfill between Jan and Dec 2010
2. Sold 19833 m2 of otherwise landfilled carpet tiles during 2010
2011
1. Diverted 73,600 carpet tiles/92 tonnes of carpet waste from landfill up to October 2011
2. Sold 18400m2 of otherwide landfilled carpet tiles so far during 2011
